Blaise Taylor, Former College Football Star, Charged With Fatally Poisoning His Pregnant Girlfriend

Blaise Taylor, a former football star at Arkansas State, has been arrested and charged with fatally poisoning his pregnant girlfriend, Jade Benning, and their unborn child.

In February 2023, Blaise allegedly poisoned Jade “without her knowledge while visiting her Lebanon Pike apartment” in Nashville.

Later that night, Jade Benning, who was 5 months pregnant, was rushed to the hospital after Blaise Taylor contacted authorities and told them she appeared to be having “an allergic reaction.”

The baby died two days later, and tragically, Jade also passed on March 6, 2023, which happened to be her 25th birthday.

Following the death of his girlfriend and baby, Blaise Taylor relocated to Utah.

In a statement, the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department said Taylor, 28, was indicted on two charges of first-degree murder in the 2023 deaths of his girlfriend and unborn baby.

He was arrested on Thursday and is currently held without bail at the Cache County Jail in Logan, Utah.

MNPD is now working with authorities to arrange for Blaise Taylor’s return to Nashville.
